After a small boatride from Sta. Cruz we enter the water at dive site Mushroom Forrest to find a fairytale under water. Many mushroom shaped hard corals, where it is easy to play hide and seek in between. We often see spotted eagle rays here and turtles. Occasionally squids. For the admirers of small creatures, there are often flamingo tongue snails and lettuce snails seen here. We try to end the dive in the blue room, a nice little cave.

Mushroom forest is a very nice dive site. Can only be reached by boat from Playa Santa Cruz, where Captain Goodlife can take you to the reef, drop you there, and then will pick you up 50 minutes later (or any time you want). There is lots of undeep (10m) parts of the reef which are great to explore with good sunlight for pictures.

This is indeed a great place to stay and scuba dive at leisure and a very tranquil place to stay. Curacao can be reached out of Mia with American Airlines or Insel Air. From Newark with continental Airlines.
