The dive site Crash is located in district Otrabanda and can be reached via the roundabout to the WTC and Picasdera hotel area. It is reached west of Sonesta Beach and Parasasa Beach. The USS Erie was torpedoed by a German submarine in 1944 when the captain placed the burning ship on the drop off and threw a Vought Kingfisher airplane overboard. Parts of the Erie and the plane are scattered around. It is a rocky entrance and a nice place for a night dive.
